So I've not had much to post for a while. In part, this has been due to atelophobia. It's kind of like perfectionism, but in a really unhealthy form that paralyses you and stops you from even starting a project. And in part, it's been due to getting approached by a company to do design and sculpting work for them. At present it's all hush-hush, with nondisclosure agreements and such, but in the moments when I don't hate myself enough to be unable to work, I'm producing sketches and paintings (and soon enough, sculpts) that will be blogged once the product is finished, cast and ready to order.

I've just been told by someone who went to uni to study Fine Art that many of her coursemates refused to attend life drawing classes, and that it was possible to go through art school without ever seeing a nude model. I have gone beyond anger and am actually in tears of despair over the state of art education. Does nothing have value unless Charles fucking Saatchi can warehouse the bastard away from prying public eyes and one day sell it to some super-rich twat who hires accountants and lawyers to help them get out of paying taxes to fund the education of the next generation of artists?
